What Plug-ins do I need?

You need the RealPlayer for viewing video and the Flash player for animations. Both are available as free downloads and are easily installed.

RealPlayer®  The video segments of the modules are presented using the RealPlayer®. Click here to test for Real video support.

Yes, I hear the audio sample and see the video. Continue to the next plug-in.
No, I don't hear and/or see the sample... click here to DOWNLOAD the RealPlayer®

  • The  RealPlayer® is a free application.  It is not necessary to purchase the RealPlayer Plus.  Make sure you find and download the RealPlayer Basic.  You may have to look a bit but it is there.
  • If you have a version of the Real Player earlier than version 8 and if you are having any problems with video access please download and install the latest version.
  • Special Note to Windows NT users: Our tests indicate that the RealPlayer 8 offers the best performance on the NT operating system. We strongly recommend that you download and install the latest version.

If you see the animating circles below you have the Flash player installed.

If you do not see the animation click here to download the Flash Player.

No, I don't hear and/or see the sample... click here to DOWNLOAD the RealPlayer®

If you are certain that you have a working version of RealPlayer and you still have problems with the videos in the module we recommend that you download the latest version of the Player from the Real website. We have noted some problems with older players on Windows NT systems.

Sometimes I click on a link that should bring up a popup and nothing happens.

Popup windows are used extensively throughout the modules. If you fail to close a popup after viewing it will remain open "behind" the main widow. When you click on other popups they will open in the already open window but will remain hidden to you. This is why you must close each popup after you have viewed its contents.

How do I navigate through the modules?

  • There are "back" and "next" links at the bottom right of each page for moving through the module.

  • "Pop-up" windows are used extensively throughout the modules. Please make sure you close each pop-up window after you have viewed its contents by clicking on the "Close Window" link at the bottom of each pop-up window.

  • Links to outside websites open in a new browser window with all navigation controls accessible. These also have a area at the bottom of the screen that you should click on to close the window before you continue with the module.
